Sponsorship FAQs

What do I get for my sponsorship?

When you sponsor a child, you are saving a life and giving hope to a desperate child because without education, no child can escape poverty.
You are also keeping this child off the street and out of the hands of predators who steer them into bad circumstances.

Once we have received your sponsorship payment, we will e-mail you a photo of your child in his/her new school uniform. Since the majority of these children are not attending school, once their fees have been paid and their uniform purchased, your child will begin school and you will immediately see what a difference getting something new and having hope makes.
After that, you will receive a letter from your child once a year. If you child does not speak English, you will receive a picture drawn by your sponsor child.

Can I send gift to my child?
You are welcome to send gifts to your child, however, here in Kenya, we have to pay customs fees for anything we pick up from the post office. These fees can be quite high, often as much as the value of the item(s) sent.
If you would like to buy a gift for your child, we suggest contacting us so we can help you determine what your child needs most. Since items are often less expensive in Kenya, if you would like to send funds to purchase a gift for child, we would be happy to do so, and will send you a photo of your child with the purchase.
If you still prefer to mail items, please let us know what you are sending so we know when to expect it. We also ask that you include funds for customs fees. We will e-mail you once the package has arrived to let you know the amount.
